Beginning Of The Annual Year Book
By Janet Huntley Graue, Class of 1924
The first Annual publication for Beaverton High School was called the Ee'na which was said to be the Indian word for Beaver. In early times there were many beavers in the beaverdam east of town. The first Ee'na was published in 1921, the second in 1922, and the third by our class of 1924. None was issued in 1923. The fifth and sixth Ee'na annuals were published in 1925 and 1926. At some time after that, the old name was discarded, and the name Beaver was used for the yearbook.
